Anti-MQM Pakistan slogans appear on Karachi walls

KARACHI: Wall chalking against Muttahida Qaumi Pakistan leaders appeared at several spots on Friday.

Slogans against MQM-P leader Khawaja Izhar and Dr. Farooq Sattar have been splashed on the walls. The writings call them 'traitors of the Muhajirs'. A date November 18, 2016 along with UC-38 has also been mentioned.

SP Liaquatabad Saqib Ibrahim said that an FIR has been registered against a political party for hate speech in Nazimabad police station.

On Wednesday, the situation became tense when Karachi mayor Waseem Akhtar in the form of a rally reached Azizabad to pay his respected at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada, after he was released from jail. Both MQM-Pakistan and London factions’ protesters came face to face.

Members of the MQM London started chanting pro-MQM founder slogans. Police baton-charged MQM London protesters to disperse them.
