Daesh terrorist killed in Rawalpindi shootout: CTD

RAWALPINDI: An alleged terrorist was gunned down while two fled during an operation by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).

Two CTD officials were injured in exchange of fire. Terrorists hurled hand grenades and opened fire at the CTD officials, a spokesperson said.

The terrorists belonged to Daesh, he added.

Terrorist Ahsan Sati was killed due to firing by his accomplices. IED rifles, bullets, pistols and rifles were recovered from him, the spokesman said.

The CTD said terrorists were planning an attack on a media house in Rawalpindi.

The terrorists were involved in an attack on I-9 Police post in which police officials were killed and an attack on ARY media house Islamabad in 2015, the CTD said.
