ISLAMABAD: The archbishop of Canterbury met Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz.
The Christian community is actively participating in Pakistan’s development, Sartaj Aziz told the archbishop.
The government is taking possible steps for security and welfare of minorities, Aziz said.
They have seats in the provincial and national assemblies, he added.
The archbishop appreciated Pakistan’s war against terrorism. “Peace and prosperity can be achieved by inter-faith dialogues,” he said.
He added that the steps Pakistan has taken to protect minority rights are commendable.
