LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday after condoling the family of Jahangir Badar said that he had good relations with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader, adding that his services for democracy in Pakistan will always be remembered.
Talking to the media outside Badar’s residence in Lahore, he said that PPP leader was not only a good politician but also a good human being.
“I had good relations with him and his children. I also attended his wedding and have many memories with him”, PM Nawaz added.
He said that He said that Badar’s service to politics and democracy will always be remembered.
Badar, former secretary general of the PPP, passed away late Sunday night.
Badar was considered one of the closest aides of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. He became involved in politics as a student leader during his university days in Lahore.
As a young man, he also met PPP's Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and was among the first group of students to join and support the PPP leader.
