RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Saturday appreciated the highest state of morale of troops and best form of vigilance along Line of Control (LoC), working boundary and the international border.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), COAS visited Sulemanki sector and spent his day with Army and Rangers troops and war veterans of the sector.
While interacting with them, General Raheel Sharif said that Pakistan Army proudly carries its heritage and tradition of soldiering and chivalry.
“Taking inspiration from our war heroes and their spirit of sacrifice, Pakistan Army has always measured up to any challenge. With an unprecedented level of successes in war against terror, we have become the most battle-hardened Army and are equally ready for conventional war”, he added
He specially appreciated the highest state of morale of troops and best form of vigilance along LOC, working boundary and the international border.
Chief of Army Staff laid a floral wreath at the monument of Major Shabbir Sharif Shaheed, NH. He paid rich tributes to our Shuhada and Ghazis for fighting bravely and rendering supreme sacrifice in defence of the motherland.
Earlier, on arrival at Sulemanki, COAS was received by Corps Commander Lahore, Lieutenant General Sadiq Ali, Lt Gen Javaid Iqbal, Comd Bahawalpur Corps and DG Punjab Rangers, Maj Gen Umer Farooq Burki.
General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday dared Indian military to tell its casualties, saying that Pakistan Army killed 11 Indian troops in return for its seven martyrs.
During an informal conversation with media in Islamabad, he said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has now understood Pakistan’s stance that aggression across LoC was useless.
