Unavailability of Medical Board members risks life of paralysed Larkana student

KARACHI: The case of Muhammad Ahmad - student of Cadet Collage Larkana -  who lost his senses after alleged torture by a teacher have met an inertia due to unavailability of two members of proposed medical board, Geo News has learnt.

Ahmed`s father Muhammad Rashid informed that Secretary Health Usman Chachar called him and said that as ENT Surgeon Dr Umar Farooq and Child Specialist Dr Jamal Raza is out of country, the medical board cannot commence its work immediately.

“If members are not here in Karachi, why the authorities announced its formation. It is simply ridiculous,” Ahmed`s father, Rashid said.

According to the health department officials, the medical board will start their examination from Friday.

A few days’ back Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah instructed to constitute medical board and inquiry committee for this case on war footing basis.

Contrary to the delay in medical examination, the Inquirey committee members have started their investigations, confirms Rashid.
