ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for States and Frontier Region Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch said on Monday a new visa policy for Afghan immigrants who have married Pakistani nationals will be introduced in coming days.
Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch further said that the visa policy would be presented to cabinet for approval soon.
On November 15, Pakistani women who have married Afghan men staged a protest in Peshawar claiming that their husbands have been deported to Afghanistan.
The women said that they had been left alone to fend for their children. Some said that they were starving with their sole breadwinner deported.
