4 dengue patients discharged, 5 under treatment

MULTAN: Executive district officer Dr IslamZafar said on Wednesday that the health department has taken steps on emergency basis to save people from dengue fever.

In a statement, Dr Islam Zafar said that special wards had been introduced to diagnose and treat dengue fever patients.

He disclosed that nine patients of dengue fever were admitted indifferent hospitals across the district. "Four patients out of nine have recuperated while the remaining five are being treated", he added.

He also informed that health department's teams were actively engaged in fumigation at scattered places of the city. He also urged people to extend cooperation towards health department's team so that dengue fever and dengue virus could be controlled urgently.
