KARACHI: Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah on Thursday said that the government should use a two-pronged strategy, notifying the United Nations and retaliating to aggression across the Line of Control.
The Opposition leader was addressing the National Assembly, where he said that Pakistan will not let innocent civilians be slaughtered in the name of regional peace.
“India hopes that it will target innocent civilians at LoC and Pakistani leaders will not protest due for the sake of good relations,” commented Shah.
Federal Minister Abdul Qadir Baloch said that the personnel of the armed forces are fully prepared to ward off any aggressive designs, adding that in case of war India would be in a dire situation.
“This is not true that the government is silent over the Indian aggression,” he said. “If they are killing one of our soldiers we are killing two of theirs in return,” said Baloch.
On Wednesday at least nine civilians and three soldiers were martyred, and several including women and children injured as a result of unprovoked Indian shelling at the Line of Control (LoC) on Wednesday.
