US ambassador David Hale meet COAS, discuss war on terror

RAWALPINDI: The US Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale met the Army Chief General Raheel Sharif at the General Headquarters.

The US ambassador praised the Pakistan Army’s role in fighting terrorism.

Under the leadership of General Raheel Sharif Pakistan Army has gained important victories in the war against terrorism, the US diplomat said.

The army chief had an informal chat with journalists in Islamabad before leaving for Okara.

“I have faith that Pakistanis will fight the war against terror. I have faith this land of the pure will get rid of terrorists,” he said.

Speaking about his retirement he said, “I took this decision in favour of the country. I am always available to serve the country.”

“Inshallah Pakistan will see good days,” he added.
