Police arrest rape suspect from Karachi

KARACHI: Police arrested a shopkeeper in Machar Colony's Muhammadi Colony on Friday, after the initial medical examination report confirmed his involvement in the rape of a minor.  

According to the statement given by the rape survivor; she was sexually assaulted by Gulzar at his shop on November 23. The allegation was proven true by the medical examination report. Following which, the suspect was immediately arrested and a case was registered against him, in the Docks police station.

The eight-year-old is under treatment at Civil Hospital.

Earlier, a six-year-old girl, who went missing from a wedding hall in Orangi Town on Jan 25, was found dead in an underground water tank of the area — the initial examination report revealed that she was raped.

Unfortunately, even after months, not a single charge has been framed against the suspects due to a shoddy investigation.
