Younis Khan becomes second Pakistani to play 200 Test innings

KARACHI: Pakistan’s master batsman Younis Khan achieved another milestone in his career on Saturday, when he came to bat during Pakistan’s first innings in the Hamilton Test, becoming the second Pakistani to play 200 Test innings.

Younis, who turns 39 on Thursday, could not make his 200th inning memorable though, and was caught behind the stumps trying to play Tim Southee away from the body.

He has now joined Inzamam-ul-Haq in the list of Pakistanis to play most innings in Test matches. Inzamam played 200 innings in 120 Tests.

Currently playing his 112th Test, Younis is now likely to surpass Inzamam in the second innings of the ongoing Test in Hamilton.
