DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Two out of the seven people kidnapped from Hasankhel have been recovered, political sources said.

Those recovered Farooq and Minhas are Levies personnel. Political administration is looking for five other men who were kidnapped on Saturday.

Unknown men kidnapped seven officials of an Oil and Gas company from the tribal areas, it was initially reported.

The men were kidnapped from the border of South Waziristan and FR Dera Ismail Khan, along with three cars.

Political agent of the area is using his men to recover the hostages.

The area where the officials have been kidnapped falls under the jurisdiction of the Federally Administer Tribal Areas (FATA).

In March this year, seven government officials were kidnapped from FATA and released two months later.

Pakistan has had its share of high profile kidnappings with Shahbaz Taseer, son of former Punjab Governor, and Ali Haider Gilani, son of former prime minister of Pakistan, topping the list. Both of them were released by their Taliban kidnappers this year.
