LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) worker Samia Chaudhry died of drug overdose, a forensic report revealed on Friday.
According to the report, Samia was addicted to drugs which caused her death at the Chamba House on November 26.
Talking to the media in Lahore, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said that the lungs and other parts of Samia’s body were tested. However, no signs of torture were found.
PML-N worker was found dead at her room at the Chamba House on November 26 under mysterious circumstances.
Samia was married to Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) employee Asif Mahmood, and was a mother of three. She was a resident of Islamabad and on November 20 had left for Shorkot in a car along with several PML-N workers to attend a political rally.
She checked into room number 26 on November 22 at the Chamba House.
