COAS meets president, prime minister

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa met President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday.

During the meeting National Action Plan (NAP) and Operation Zarb-e-Azb were discussed and the president asked the Army Chief to continue efforts to achieve their objectives.

The president congratulated the Army Chief over taking charge.

The defence of the country will strengthened under the leadership of the new Army Chief, the president said.

General Qamar Bajwa said that he will fulfill expectations of the people of Pakistan.

The Army Chief also met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. They exchanged views over the internal security situation of the country and operation against terrorists.

They also discussed situation at the border and Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
