Each corrupt department to be grilled: Malik
KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Rehman A Malik said he received no order regarding bringing former President Gen (rtd) Pervez Musharraf back home through Interpol, Geo News reported Monday.

This he said while talking to journalists at Karachi airport before leaving for Doha to attend a session of Interpol’s general assembly.

He said that if courts directed him regarding repatriation of Pervez Musharraf, he would comply.

‘I will apprise Interpol’s General Assembly about the loss Pakistan incurred in the course of war against terrorism, as the country has suffered loss worth over 140 billion dollars thus far,’ he remarked.

Rehman Malik stressed that bribery and other modes of corruption would not be tolerated in departments of FIA and police, adding a new website would soon be made for the eradication of corruption.

He added public dealing should be corruption-free.

Malik lauded the role of Supreme Court (SC) regarding corruption.

Replying a question regarding Shershah bridge collapse in Karachi, he vowed that all culprits involved would soon be arrested.

Responding a question in connection with Musharraf’s repatriation, he said if this is needed, he has no objection.
