ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday demanded resignations of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri and Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti over the Quetta Commission inquiry report.
Speaking to the media, PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi slammed Chaudhry Nisar for his statements on the subject and said the interior minister’s statement was in contempt of court.
Qureshi said that Justice Qazi Faez Isa, who headed the inquiry commission, is a currently serving judge of the Supreme Court.
Over the matter of Panama Leaks, Qureshi said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should clarify the matter in front of the Parliament.
The PTI also announced to consult with Opposition parties over all matters.
On Saturday, Chaudhry Nisar had slammed the Quetta massacre report and had announced to challenge it at every forum including the Supreme Court and the Parliament.
An inquiry commission under the Supreme Court slammed the federal interior minister, the Balochistan chief minister and home minister for providing misleading information following a deadly terrorist attack in Quetta which claimed 70 lives and injured as many as 112 people earlier this year.
On August 8, a powerful explosion ripped through Civil Hospital in Quetta when Balochistan Bar Association President Bilal Kasi's body was being brought to the emergency department. Kasi was gunned down in a targeted killing earlier that day.
