MULTAN: Pakistan Airline (PIA) has completed its pre-Hajj operation from Multan and Sialkot Stations.
The Airline operated 19 hajj flights from Multan carrying4,661 intending pilgrims and 09 Hajj flights from Sialkot carrying 4,159 intending pilgrims to the Holy Land, PIA Spokesman said here on Monday.
PIA operated Hajj flights form Multan for the first time in History with 100% punctuality. 466 intending pilgrims of the first Hajj flight from Multan were seen off by Prime Minister ofPakistan, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on 28 October 2010.
PIA's pre-Hajj operation which commenced from 11 October2010 is in the final stages of its completion. FIA has so farcarried 93,782 intending Hajj pilgrims through 233 hajj flights tothe Holy Land.
PIA has carried 18,889 intending Hajj pilgrims from Karachi through 43 hajj flights, 20,625 from Islamabad through 45 hajj flights, 18,212 through 42 flights from Lahore, 17466 through 54flights from Peshawar and 9,770 intending hajj pilgrims through 30flights from Quetta.
The remaining pre-Hajj flights from Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta Stations will conclude on 10 November 2010.
The post-Hajj Operation of bringing back the 'Hajis' will commence from 21 November 2010 and end on 21 December 2010.
