MSA, Customs seize 100 kg Crystal in major drug bust

KARACHI: Pakistan's Maritime Security Agency (MSA) and Customs Intelligence on Tuesday seized 100 kilogram of a deadly drug off the Karachi coast, officials said.

The MSA and Customs personnel conducted a joint raid close to Pakistan's western territorial waters on Tuesday. Official seized 100 kg of 'Crystal meth' - one of the deadliest drugs - and detained 12 smugglers, said an MSA spokesman.

The seized consignment of drugs cost around Rs 1 billion in the international market, he said.

The consignment was dispatched for United States and Europe from eastern Africa, the spokesman added.

The drugs were handed over to Pakistan Customs for disposal.
