Interpol should be used to bring Musharraf back: Qaim

SUKKUR: Senior PPP leader and former Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah called on the federal government to seek the help of Interpol to being former president and military dictator Pervez Musharraf back to Pakistan.

Speaking to journalists at the airport here on Monday, Shah asserted that Pervez Musharaf was a criminal in the Benzair Bhutto murder case.

The former chief minister said arrest warrants had already been issued for Musharraf. “Only time will tell if he returns or not. If the interior minister wants he can bring him back,” he said.

Shah alleged that the federal government had taken a soft stance over the issue. "Interpol was used to bring Rehman alias Bhola back, why can't Interpol be asked for help to bring Musharraf back?" he said.

Benazir Bhutto's was assassinated on December 27, 2007 as she led a rally in Rawalpindi. She is buried in the magnificent white Garhi Khuda Bux mausoleum along with her father Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
