20 lakh Muslims to perform Hajj this year

MAKKAH MUKARRAMAH: Over 20 lakhs of Muslims will perform Hajj this year including over 17.50 lakhs from other Muslim countries besides 2.50 lakhs Saudi citizens and foreign immigrants in KSA.

According to Saudi government’s statistics, the most number – 2 lakhs – pilgrims will come from Indonesia.

A number of 1,65,000 pilgrims will offer Hajj from Pakistan. 1,60,000 from India, 91,000 from Bangladesh, 100,000 from Turkey, 100,000 from Iran, 95,000 Russia, 13,000 China, 1,80,000 from African country and hundreds of thousands from Europe, America, Canada and Latin America.

Saudi local residents and immigrants have been issued special permits for the event.
