Faisalabad factories come to standstill on gas closure
FAISALABAD: The factories and industries in Faisalabad came to a halt, as Sui Gas today discontinued gas supply for 48 hours, Geo News reported Monday.
Sui Gas choked today gas supply to Faisalabad’s industries for two days under Load Management Plan causing a halt at all factories and industries in the city.
All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association’s Acting President Mian Ajmal Farooq said textile industry has made it abundantly clear to the Minister for Petroleum and Minister for Textile that gas shortage should be equitably distributed over the entire country and that Faisalabad also should not get over one-day gas outage.
He said the ministers promised the city would have to suffer only one-day gas load management in November.
According to the Aptma sources, the industrialists will shut down their industries for only a day, as this very week, work will come to an end thanks to Eid holidays.
The factory owners demanded the government to take back its decision regarding Tuesday gas closure.
