PESHAWAR: The lawyers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa boycotted the courts on Thursday, protesting the attack on a vehicle of civil judges a day earlier in Peshawar.
While talking to Geo News at Peshawar High Court, the agitated lawyers said their patience has reached the threshold, asking till when will the judiciary continue to be targeted. They were of the view that such incidents will continue to take place until the National Action Plan is implemented.
The lawyers were at Peshawar High Court for an emergency meeting called by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Association.
In September 2016, the attack on Mardan districts courts claimed the lives of at least 13 people. Two bomb explosions had occurred in the courts then. Among the deceased were two policemen and four lawyers.
