Six suspected facilitators of Sehwan blast arrested: sources

SUKKUR: Intelligence agencies have arrested six suspected of facilitating the Sehwan blast, in operations conducted in the bordering areas of Sindh and Balochistan, sources revealed.

Sources said in the operations, those arrested were involved in facilitating in the Sehwan blast and belong to Hafeez Brohi group.

Sources claimed that the suspects were involved in organising the proscribed Daesh’s network in the area.

Following the arrests, the tally of those arrested has been up to six.

Earlier, LEAs arrested a suspected facilitator of Sehwan shrine bombing from Khairpur, investigating sources said.

The suspect, who is affiliated with Hafeez Brohi group, has been rounded up from a suburban area of Khairpur, investigating sources confided to Geo News.

The group was previously affiliated with outlawed Lashkar-e-Jhangvi but lately pledged allegiance to Daesh.

Hafeez Brohi group was behind the deadly bombing at Lal Shahbaz Qalandar's shrine in Sehwan, they said.

Sources said the suicide vest for Sehwan attack was also prepared in Shikarpur, while the man who carried out the attack was an Afghan citizen.

The same group was also behind the Shikarpur blasts.
