Students miss school, government officer uses premises for wedding

MULTAN: A government official announced the day off for students at a government school on Monday, to vacate the premises for his son’s wedding reception.
Shujaabad UC 141 Sikanderabad chairman Afar Ali Chakrani ordered the school’s ground to be covered by tents as part of the arrangements for his son Asif Khan Chakrani’s wedding celebrations.
Executive District Officer Ashfaq Gujjar said he was unaware of the matter but strict action will be taken against the official.
In a prompt action by Deputy Commissioner Nadir Chatta, an inquiry committee headed by the Assistant Commissioner was formed to investigate the matter.
When contacted by Geo News, the school’s headmaster Chaudhri Akmal refused to comment on the matter.
