Peshawar saved from attack, terrorist carrying explosives intercepted by LEAs

PESHAWAR: A suspected terrorist was intercepted and arrested when he was trying to take explosive material from Khyber Agency to Yakatoot area of Peshawar.

The counter-terrorism department personnel made the arrest near Ring Road from Achini Khor Friday morning.  

He was shifted to an undisclosed location for investigation. 

Although raids and search operations have been taking place in Peshawar since quite some time, the security measures have been tightened post blasts in in the city and adjoining tribal areas. 

Following a string of terrorist attacks in the country, the Pakistan Army supported by all Law Enforcement Agencies have launched Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad against the remnants of terrorists in the country. Through increased vigilance multiple terrorists have been apprehended or killed in operations across the country.
