Senate body meeting on RGST underway

ISLAMABAD: Senate Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue is currently underway to re-visit Reformed General Sales Tax (RGST), Geo News reported Wednesday.

Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue Senator Ahmed Ali of the MQM said he brought entire matters relating the RGST to the knowledge of Chairman of Senate.

He said he would give dissenting note over the RGST, adding, ‘My plane was deliberately halted in London to prevent me from attending the meeting.’

The meeting will be held at 3:30pm today, he said adding the meeting will again discuss the RGST.
