FAISALABAD: The power looms in Faisalabad commenced working on intervention from SSP Operations after the laborers threatened to protest in case power looms factories are not opened, Geo News reported Wednesday.
The routine work is currently underway at these factories in the city.
It should be mentioned here that Faisalabad's power looms owners closed their factories for four days now in protest against thread shortage in the city and price hike.
Over 50,000 laborers working on daily wages were rendered jobless with the closure of city's power looms, against which, Labor Qaumi Movement last day staged a protest demo. The Movement gave power looms owners time till this morning and in case the looms are not run, they threatened to jump-start sit-in and protest demonstration.
On this, SSP Operations Faisalabad Dr Usman talked to both the parties and brought looms owners round to run their factories.
