SHARJAH: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has initiated talks with Bangladesh for a series given the uncertainty of Pakistan's scheduled series against India.
Reliable sources have confirmed that the PCB has invited Bangladesh for a series in November, which can be considered as Pakistan’s another attempt to bring back international cricket.
"The PCB has told BCB [Bangladesh Cricket Board] to honour the commitment of a reciprocal series, as Pakistan has already toured Bangladesh twice in the last few years and has another tour planned for July 2017," the source said.
The BCB gave a positive reply and has agreed to send a security delegation to Pakistan. The delegation will oversee the security arrangements and then give a green signal to Bangladesh’s team to visit Pakistan.
"Their security and vigilance team will be coming to Lahore on March 5 for the PSL [Pakistan Super League] final. It will be a good opportunity for the PCB to showcase the type of security available to visiting teams," the source added.
The PCB has also invited security experts from Federation of International Cricketers' Associations (FICA) and International Cricket Council (ICC) to the PSL’s final.
