ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday gave directions for enhancing the pace of operation Raddul Fasaad, which began last month, following a strong wave of terror across the country.

The PM was chairing a high-level security session at the PM house. During the session, the PM gave directions for enhancing the pace of implementation of the National Action Plan.

For the beneficial outcome of the security measures, it was agreed upon that the effective contact should be maintained between the provinces and the centre.

The high-level, civil-military session was attended by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, DG ISI, and CM Punjab Shehbaz Sharif.

Pakistan on February 22 had launched a nationwide military operation 'Radd-ul-Fasaad', which included broad-spectrum security and counter-terrorism operations in Punjab, and continuation of ongoing operations across the country.
