Bahria Town’s cleanliness drive continues in Karachi

KARACHI: Bahria Town authorities’ cleanliness drive continued in city’s Central District on its sixth day.

The cleaning vehicles picked up trash from Rashid Minhas Road on Saturday.

The drive, which was launched on Monday, seeks to assist in the garbage disposal crisis surrounding the metropolis.

As many as 50 vehicles and 600 personnel for picking up garbage from Karachi’s streets have been deployed for the purpose.

According to the plan, the vehicles and volunteers cleaned up Shahrah-e-Pakistan in the first phase of the drive. The other areas which were to be cleaned include Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan, Sher Shah Suri Road and other roads and streets of Karachi, according to the Bahria Town management.
