COAS vows to clean Pakistan of 'fasaadis'

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday paid tributes to the brave soldiers of the country on the occasion of the Pakistan Day parade held at Shakarparian Parade Ground in Islamabad, an Inter-Services Public Relations statement said.

“You are our heroes; your sacrifices shall not go to waste. We owe our peace and independence to you,” said the COAS.

Gen Bajwa thanked the defence forces of China, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and South Africa for participation in the parade. He also congratulated participants and spectators for making the ceremony a success.

On the occasion, the COAS said that Pakistan enjoys a significant place in the comity of nations. “We are a peaceful country.”

He also vowed to clean Pakistan of “fasaadis”, saying the country will remain steadfast against the enemies of Pakistan.
