PESHAWAR: Senator Haji Muhammad Adeel on Saturday fulfilled a long-standing demand of the area inhabitants by inaugurating construction work on an education centre in RA Bazaar which would be completed in one year time with an estimated cost of Rs 2 million.
The Senator later went to Defence Park in Cantonment Area along with Station Commander Peshawar Brigadier Naeem Abdul Baqi and Director Cantonment Board Peshawar Region Hamid Haroon to launch construction work on Haji Adeel Health Centre. The cost for health centre was estimated at Rs 5 million.
Both the projects were funded by Senator Haji Adeel while land for these centers was given by the Cantonment Board Peshawar.
Senator Hiji Adeel after inaugurating work on health centre said that the centre would also have all kinds of first aid facilities. He added that a sports centre would also be constructed in the Defence Park with a badminton and gymnasium court both for men and women.
The Senator said that the pool in Defence Park would be renovated and made more attractive for the visitors.
Executive Officer Cantonment Peshawar Shah Room Safdar Khattak informed that Cantt. Board was giving to priority to education and health sectors in its area and in this connection schools in the area are being upgraded and new health centers are established.
He said that education centre in RA Bazaar will have a state-of-the-art digital library which would not only be connected with Higher Education Commission but also with other world's prestigious universities. The centre, he said would provided the area students with quality education environment.
The Executive Officer Cantonment thanked Senator Haji Adeel for providing funds for both the projects.
