LONDON: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Bajwa is set to meet Britain’s military leadership to discuss enhancing military relations and the current military situation in the South Asian region during his official visit to the UK which will last for three days.
Sources have told this scribe that the COAS will address think tanks and in London and will present Pakistan’s military viewpoint before the policy makers.
He is accompanied by his key lieutenants including DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor. The visit has been arranged by UK’s Ministry of Defence (MOD) and it’s managed by the MOD officials.
The army chief will meet the leadership of British armed forces and will hold talks on further enhancing cooperation.
Sources have said that the army chief will stay in the UK for around five days.
Sources in Pakistan High Commission have confirmed that the army chief will meet members of Pakistani community at a dinner and will get to hear their thoughts.
