Terrorists shall not go unpunished: Lahore corps commander

LAHORE: Attackers behind the Bedian Road attack will not be let to go unpunished, said Corps Commander Lieutenant General Sadiq Ali during his visit to Combined Military Hospital Wednesday morning.

He was at the hospital to enquire after the health of people injured in the blast.

"The indiscriminate operation against terrorists will continue."  

He added the deceased lost their lives while fulfilling their national duty. Four of those who lost their lives were army personnel, according to the Punjab government spokesperson, Malik Ahmed.

On Wednesday morning, at least six persons were martyred in a suicide explosion that targetted a census team and the accompanying security personnel, said government and security officials.  

At least 15 people were injured in the explosion.

Photos from the scene of the attack showed two vans and a motorcycle were damaged by the explosion.
