QUETTA: Security forces thwarted a terror plot during an operation near Chaman in the early hours of Sunday, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
At least two suspected terrorists were arrested and around 80 kilograms of explosives were seized during the operation, the ISPR said.
The explosives were found fitted in a vehicle that was prepared in Kandahar and brought in Pakistan for use in a terror attack, the statement added.
The operation was carried out on the basis of actionable intelligence reports, the military's media wing said.
According to the ISPR, Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad to eliminate the residual and latent threat of terrorism in the country continues with full force nationwide.
