I will be back, Musharraf assures party workers

PESHAWAR: All Pakistan Muslim League Chairperson General (Rtd) Pervaiz Musharraf claimed on Sunday that he will soon return to Pakistan.

Speaking to his party activists in Peshawar through video link, the former president said that alliance of small parties was the need of the hour to take political space of the two established parties (Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples` Party) . He announced that a 30-party alliance is being established in Lahore.

“I will soon be in the country to strengthen the alliance,” he said.

Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government allowed former military ruler General (Rtd) Pervez Musharraf to travel out of the country for medical treatment.

Speaking at a press conference, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said the decision was taken in light of Supreme Court orders.
