Muharram moon not sighted; Ashura on 17th

KARACHI: Muharram moon was not sighted, therefore 1st Muharram ul Haram would fall on 08 Dec and Ashura on 17th, Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Mufti Munibur Rehman announced here today.

The meeting of central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee for sighting the Moon of Muharram ul Haram 1432A.H/2010 held today under the chairmanship of Mufti Munibur Rehman in the building of Pakistan Meteorological Department, University road Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Karachi, while the Zonal and Districts Ruet-e-Hilal committees held their meeting at their respective places.
