Pakistani actress Armeena Rana Khan has been nominated for the best actress award in The Eastern Eye Arts, Culture & Theatre Awards (ACTAs) for her role as Meena in Janaan.

Armeena has been nominated in the category "Eastern Award for Film: best actress".

Scheduled to take place in London on Sunday May 21, the film’s success is largely credited to the charming personality of Armeena and her chemistry with the lead actor Bilal Ashraf.

Armeena is also working in an upcoming British action film The Real Target.

Other nominations in the category include Sanam Saeed for Rahm and Indira Verma.

The Eastern Eye Arts, Culture & Theatre Awards (ACTAs) are held in Britain to showcase South Asian talent in arts and culture.

The awards are created by the Asian Media & Marketing Group (AMG), publishers of Britain’s fashion and lifestyle magazine Eastern Eye.
