IG orders recruitment test of ex-SRP man after he protests in Karachi

The test was being taken in Saint Patricks college for the SRP personnel dismissed from the job in 2015.

KARACHI: IG Sindh AD Khawaja on Sunday directed police officials to take recruitment test of Ghulam Haider, who climbed on top of a tree in protest against police authorities for not allowing him to appear before recruitment exam, informed SHO Saddar town.

Haider, a former official of Sindh Reserves Police, claimed he had a medical operation and as according to the police recruitment laws he has exemption from the physical test. 

However, the local police authorities did not allow him to take the written test on the basis that he has not appeared in the physical test.

The test was being taken in Saint Patricks college for the  SRP personnel dismissed from the job in 2015.   

Police have now taken custody of Haider.
