HAFIZABAD: Farmers will take out protest rallies in all districts of the country on December 13 if their demands are not met till December 13, said Aman Ullah Chattha, president Kissan Board, while addressing a press conference here on Tuesday.
Aman Ullah said subsidy on electricity for tube-wells had been withdrawn due to which crops production was being badly affected.
He demanded that subsidy on electricity must be restored and prices must be written on fertiliser sacks and sugarcane support price should be fixed as Rs.280 per maund otherwise farmers and cultivators of the country will take out protest processions. A sit-in will be staged in front of the Punjab Assembly Building.
He condemned increasing price of DAP fertiliser and demanded the government control the price of fertiliser.
