ISLAMABAD: The incumbent government is presenting its last budget today, said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday.

While speaking to the media before the budget session started in the National Assembly, Shah Mehmood said the government would try all the methods to give false hopes to the public.

He condemned the D-Chowk incident that took place earlier in the day, saying farmers are the backbone of the country.

Moreover, he vowed to get the arrested farmers out on bail.

The PTI leader was referring to the incident that took place in the federal capital earlier in the day, when farmers were fired tear gas at and baton-charged for protesting in the Red Zone.

The farmers had gathered to press the government to provide their due rights.
