MULTAN: Three workers were stranded inside when the excise department 'wrongly' sealed a milk shop over non-payment of taxes near Nawa Sheher Chowk, Multan in the early hours of Saturday.

According to sources, the milk shop owner had however paid his dues. They added it was the owner of the neighbouring shop — a property dealer — who was defaulting on a tax of Rs20,000.

The boys were locked inside the milk store since 5am, when the shop was sealed in the excise department's operation.

However, after nearly six hours of staying locked inside, the boys came out when the excise department opened the shop.
