ISLAMABAD/ ISTANBUL: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday strongly condemned the suicide attack at a barber shop in a congested bazaar in Kohat that killed several people.
The president in his message expressed condolences with the families of those who lost their lives in the cowardly terrorist act.
President Zardari said that the government and the people are determined to defeat terrorism and such gruesome acts cannot deter the resolve of the nation, which remained united to defeat terrorists.
The prime minister, who is in Turkey on a three day official visit, expressed deep shock and grief over the sad incident, in which several innocent persons were killed.
He said that the resolve of the government to fight against terrorism would not to be deterred by such acts of violence and vowed to continue the fight against terrorism till its logical conclusion.
He also directed an enquiry into the incident and asked the provincial authorities to investigate and submit a report.
