CHAKWAL: The PML-N Quaid, Mian Nawaz Sharif, has said that his party would complete its membership drive well before December 31, 2010, in which complete procedures and modus operandi of membership based on merit would be strictly followed.
Talking to a visiting PML-N delegation, led by Abdul Razzaq Haji in Raiwind, Nawaz Sharif announced new policy of rewarding selfless and active party members with important party positions, and that they would also be nominated as candidates for the forthcoming LB polls.
Deliberating the new procedures, he informed them that no party activist having less than 10 years of membership would ever be allowed to hold district offices, while Tehsil level would entail eight years of membership whereas no newcomer would be given preference over seasoned members.
He urged on his party to surge ahead with preparations for the forthcoming LB polls, as masses had pinned high hopes on the PML-N, which was the only hope for the country's future.
He also severely castigated rampant inflation and imprudent policies of incumbents, which were suffering the masses to no end, besides strongly criticised the RGST, which was an additional burden on the hapless masses.
