SUKKUR: An explosion occurred at an accountability court in Sukkur on Tuesday, police said, with no loss of life reported in its wake.
Police said the blast, which took place at an accountability court on Sukkur's Airport Road, was of low intensity. The explosion shattered window panes of the building.
Fortunately, no loss of life was reported in the wake of the explosion. The judge and his family who lived on upper storey of the building, wherein the explosion took place, also remained safe.
Bomb disposal squad (BDS) personnel were called in shortly after the incident, who swept the building and later cleared it.
SP Special Branch Mansoor Mughal said the explosion was of low intensity and resembled a cracker blast. He said it appeared the perpetrators attempted to terrify someone.
Moreover, the judge residing in the building said he was not issued any threats.
Police say they have collected residues from the scene and a probe is underway.
