Security in Hyderabad region reviewed
KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza Friday presided over another review meeting for ensuring security during Muharram ul Harram, particularly, in Hyderabad region.

According to Home Department statement issued here, he was informed that at least 2,286 processions will be taken out by the mourners from 491 Imambargahs covering 13 districts of the region.

He was informed that a contingency security plan has also been devised and a regional control room has been set up to monitor the law and order situation.

The regional control room will also have direct access and coordination with the Central Police Office in Karachi, he was informed by the Provincial Police Officer (PPO), Sindh.

In addition to the existing police force in the region, back up will also be provided by the reserve police which has been called from Shahdadpur, Badin and Hyderabad, the statement added.
