HANGU: Seventeen people including a policeman have been killed and 15 others injured when a suicide bomber ripped an explosive-laden car through the under construction hospital at Pass-Killay in Hangu on Friday, Commissioner Kohat told Geo News.
Eyewitnesses said that the blast was so severe that it also damaged nearby buildings.
Fifteen people were killed soon after the incident while one injured person succumbed to injuries in hospital and another body of a policeman was found beneath the debris.
According to DPO Hangu Rasheed Khan, 15 injured people are under treatment in DHQ Hospital while the relief activities are in progress and heavy machinery have also been called in.
