Mubarak to be consulted on Rekodeq: Raisani

QUETTA: Atomic scientist Dr Samar Mand Mubarak will be consulted to launch practical mining and refining work on Rekodeq project, said Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani.

Talking to media at Balochistan Assembly here on Friday, he hailed that ECNEC had approved handing over the control of Rekodeq project to the provincial government after the Planning Commission referred to it.

The CM said that he will visit Islamabad on 14th December, where he would call on Dr Samar Mand Mubarak, Chairman Steering Committee on Rekodequ Project to get his consultation on the matter.

The CM Balochistan said that a technocrat will be appointed as Project Director on the project.

He said the federal government will release Rs 120 billion of Gas Development Surcharge to the Balochistan government, adding it will help the provincial government to execute Rekodeq project.

He said that a committee headed by Chief Secretary Balochistan Mir Ahmed Bakhsh Lehri will deal with matter of shifting control of five federal ministries to Balochistan government.
