KARACHI: Special subsidy cards will be distributed among the poor masses after the poverty survey which is being completed on the directions of President of Pakistan Asif AliZardari to be completed till February 2011, said Federal Minister for Labour Khurshid Shah speaking at a public moot organized by Media Workers Organization (MWO) here on Friday.
He said these subsidy cards would be used for concessions in electricity bills and at utility stores. The Minister said that PPP and Bhutto are alive in the form offarmers, workers and the masses.
He said that Shaheed Z.A. Bhuttohad constituted institutions for the labour class in 1973 to run the country through labourers. Present PPP government is striving hard to rehabilitate the labor class of the country in respectful manner.
Shaheed Benazir Income Support Programme, distribution of lands among the Hari women and now after the poverty survey the issuance of subsidy cards are the services of the poor segment of the country, said the Labour Minister.
He said media workers are under distress and those who involved in exploiting the media workers are corrupt.
The Minister urged the labours to register themselves in maximum numbers in Employees Old Benefit Employees unions so the benefits from the government could be passed on to labour class.
